Children’s Christmas Story

The Birth of Baby Jesus

The town of Nazareth

Once upon a time in a little town called Nazareth, there lived a beautiful lady called Mary with her handsome husband Joseph. They were going to have a special baby!

But Mary and Joseph had to travel to Bethlehem because it was a time for counting all the people in the land. They travelled for a long time and were tired.

When they reached Bethlehem, they walked through the village, searching for a warm place to stay. But all the inns were full. Then, one kind innkeeper offered them his stable to stay. The stable was warm and safe with friendly animals.

“Look, Mary!” Joseph said looking around. “This will be a cosy home for our baby.” Mary’s eyes lit up with joy. “Yes, this will be perfect,” Mary said, her eyes sparkling.

It was nighttime, all was still and quiet. The stars twinkled in the sky, and the moon shone brightly.

Then the magic happened! A cute tiny baby was born! The manger is filled with love and joy. Mary wrapped the newborn in a soft cloth. “Welcome to the world, sweet baby Jesus,” she whispered. Joseph beamed happily, “He is the best gift ever!”

Suddenly, a bright star appeared above the manger. “Look at that beautiful star!” exclaimed Joseph with wonder. “It’s like a special sign.” Mary smiled, “It’s showing everyone where our baby is.”

They knew this was a magical and holy night!

Out in the fields, the shepherds were watching over their sheep. “What is that bright star?” one shepherd asked. At that moment, an angel appeared and said, “Go to the manger! A special baby is born!” The shepherds were amazed and hurried to see Baby Jesus.

When they arrived at the humble stable, they found Mary, Joseph, and the tiny baby wrapped in swaddling clothes. “Glory to God!” they shouted with joy. “This baby will bring peace!” They knelt with reverence, feeling blessed to be there. Baby Jesus smiled, and everyone felt joy, love and peace!

At the same time,  wise men in a faraway country noticed the shining star too. “We must follow it!” they said excitedly. They rode on their camels through the night, eager to see the precious baby.

“Let’s bring gifts!” one wise man suggested. “Gold, frankincense, and myrrh,” he said. “They will be perfect for the King!” They travelled for what felt like forever. At last, they reached the manger.

They bowed down and offered their gifts to the baby. “You are so special, little one,” they said. Mary and Joseph smiled, knowing that Baby Jesus was loved by many. Everyone in the stable felt the magic of that night.

And so, the story of baby Jesus began with joy and love in everyone’s hearts. He would grow up to become the beacon of Light and Hope to the world.
