Do Not Lose Hope And Just Hang In There

Posted on May 26, 2021June 11, 2021

Hope For A COVID Ravaged Nation

“Hope smiles from the threshold of the  year to come,
whispering ‘it will be happier”
                      ~ Alfred Lord Tennyson

   Hope! Hope is all that we have now, in the midst of the darkest of dark times. Our nation is under siege from COVID 19. Nothing seems to make sense. Every morning we wake up to devastating  news – familiar lovable people snatched away, gasping for air! Subsequently, the whole day is spent wondering who is sick or dying. Heart-rending stories going around and around.  Occasionally, morbid  thoughts creep  in , “Who is next, hope it is not us ?” Indeed, such weird and uncanny times. The very essence of our life is unpredictably topsy turvy!

   We feel like zombies. Where have our desires and dreams for the future gone? Where is our passion, our thirst for life? Will they ever return? Will we ever become normal?

Hope For Tomorrow

   In all this chaos, we NEED  to clutch on tightly to the one motivational force which is natural to humans- Hope. Yes, do not lose hope. Hope allows us to COPE. Hope gives us courage and strength. Hope is stronger than fear and helplessness. Don’t let it go!

Let us remember that even after the darkest hour, the sun will shine!

Rainbow Of Hope

The pain of these times will linger on, but hope will help us to heal and coerce us to look for the rainbow. Hope will compel us to look forward to the light at the end of the tunnel.

Unimaginable Pain

    Hope will not be easy for grieving families who have lost their loved ones. Time will not mend broken hearts, but it teaches one to live with pain. Likewise, grief is without end and those who are left behind have no choice but to survive grief. A sad truth. But that’s life!

    What about the children who are orphaned and left vulnerable, alone in this world? The COVID orphans. How do we explain to those tender hearts and make them understand? Indeed, life is unfair.

  “ We got to live, no matter how many skies have fallen”~ DH Lawrence.

Stormy Days Do Not Last Forever

Every situation in life is temporary. There is a season for everything.

“To everything there is a season,
And a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die,
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance”
~ Bible

So, let us dream about the day shortly, when the sun will rise brightly and the darkness melts into the light.

 At this moment, we may feel like the flame has been extinguished, but the embers still do exist. Let us rise out of the ashes with renewed hope, that all will be well soon!

A thousand ages in Thy sight
Are like an evening gone;
Short as the watch that ends the night
Before the rising sun.
~ Isaac Watts. English Hymn writer.
